Australia Securities Exchange, ASX profits in 2014 up by 10%
The Australia Securities Exchange reported a year on year increase on revenue and profits yesterday on the back of strong IPO performance. Net income hit A$383.2 million from A$348.2 a year before.
The revenue might also reflect a general push-back on high-frequency trading (HFT), which, similar to the the US, has garnered a bit of criticism in Australia.
The upcoming report from Kapronasia and Equinix on Trading in Sydney will take a comprehensive look at trading in Australia and some of the key drivers of this exchange growth.
